How Temperature Converter Works
Unlike most conversions, temperature scales don't share a common zero point, so a simple multiplier won't work — instead each scale needs its own formula. Fahrenheit is derived from Celsius with F = C × 9/5 + 32, and Kelvin is simply Celsius shifted by a fixed offset, K = C + 273.15, because a kelvin and a degree Celsius are the same size. Whatever scale you enter in, the tool first converts it to Celsius internally, then applies both formulas to get the other two.

- A quick mental estimate for Celsius to Fahrenheit: double the Celsius value and add 30 — it's close enough for a rough read, though the tool gives the exact figure.
